January 14, 2025

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 14, 2025 – Applied Intuition Defense, a software solutions provider for defense autonomy, today announced that it was awarded a production contract by the Pentagon’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) to support an enterprise platform for the development, testing, and fielding of the Department of Defense’s critical autonomy programs.

Under the contract, Applied Intuition Defense will be a leading player in the DOD-wide environment to continuously develop, update, and sustain all-domain autonomous systems. The production contract follows a successful prototyping contract with the Defense Innovation Unit and is worth up to $171.1 million over three years.

“This platform will support DOD autonomy programs across the enterprise with the infrastructure needed to develop and test all-domain autonomous systems,” Peter Ludwig, CTO of Applied Intuition, said. “Commercial industry has spent billions on this infrastructure needed for successful deployment of autonomous systems. Applied Intuition Defense is proud to bring this infrastructure and commercial best practices to the DOD.”

“We are thrilled to be playing a role in helping support the CDAO in the testing and fielding of critical autonomy programs,” Jason Brown, General Manager for Applied Intuition Defense, said. “We’re thankful for DOD and Congressional recognition that software sustainment is a critical component to the success of defense programs.”
